Vision Board
A guided visualisation through the Human 9 domains of your life five years from now, captured as a visual board, shared with someone — and reviewed on a rhythm so the destination stays in view while you're heads-down.
Vision boards are a standard practice for a reason — but a collage of stock photos isn't the tool. The tool is the visualisation underneath: dropping into your life five years out and actually watching it, domain by domain, before you pin anything to a board. The Human 9 gives the walk its structure.
How to run it
Run the visualisation
Close your eyes and drop into an ordinary day five years from now. Walk the Human 9 one domain at a time — romantic, family, friends; physical and mental health; work-life balance, travel, fun and hobbies; income and wealth. Don't design it — watch it, and let the detail fill in.
“Where do you wake up, and who's next to you? What does your body feel like? How much are you working — all-in, advisory, something else? What are you into that's just yours?”
Capture it as a board
Images and concrete lines, one per domain. "A house with a big kitchen where friends come for Sunday lunch" beats "better work-life balance". Format doesn't matter — a physical board, a Miro, a single slide. If five years feels too abstract, add an end-of-year version: the five-year board sets direction, the end-of-year board sets this year's bar.
Share it with someone
A partner, a cofounder, a personal-board member. Saying the vision out loud makes it real in a way a private document never is — and it gives one person permission to ask, six months from now, what you've actually done about it.
Put it on a rhythm
Add "vision board" to your Monday morning and monthly habit stacks. Two minutes of looking is enough — the point is that the destination gets a vote in how you plan the week.
A vision board you never look at is decoration. The visualisation is what makes it yours, the sharing is what makes it binding — and pairing it with Live It Today turns the picture into something you start living now, not just something you wait for.
