Opportunity & Threat Map
One grid — magnitude × likelihood — for everything that could help or hurt, so strategy conversations rank instead of list.
Use it in strategy sessions, quarterly planning or board prep — or as the canvas a premortem's output lands on. Most teams keep risks in one doc and ideas in another; this puts them on the same axes and makes them compete for attention honestly.

How to run it
- Brainstorm opportunities and threats as two separate lists first.
- Score each item for magnitude (how much would this help or hurt?) and likelihood.
- Plot both on one grid — one colour per side.
- The high-magnitude, high-likelihood corner gets named owners and next steps; revisit the map quarterly.
Threats and opportunities deserve the same rigour. Seeing them on one canvas forces the trade-off conversation: the biggest threat mitigation and the biggest opportunity bet are competing for the same quarter.
